Planting Around The US & Into The World

We have had a number of opportunities to introduce this way of worshipping the Lord.  In the Unites States, we have introduced it to churches & communities in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Atlanta, Georgia; Waco, Texas; Madison, Wisconsin; & other places in Nebraska, Iowa, & Kansas.  Those groups, in turn have introduced it to others.

We have also Ministered to Jesus around the world, introducing it in London,England; Belfast, Northern Ireland; Turkey; Afghanistan; Pakistan; China; Nepal; Korea; & a number of other places.

The Dandelion

Early on, the Lord gave us a picture of what we were doing in Ministering to Jesus — we were like the dandelion going to seed. As the wind blows, those dandelion seeds gently & silently blow over the land & spring up in many places. Nobody collects the seeds & plants them, they spring up by themselves. So it is with us. Our main desire is to faithfully & joyfully minister to Him in our city & every place that we go. How & where the seeds are planted & grow up remain His business.

Signs of His Pleasure

From time to time, the Lord has given us supernatural signs of His pleasure in what we are doing. Occasionally people have come into our worship watches in the different locations & smelled a very sweet smell. (Genesis 8:21, Exodus 30:7-8, Leviticus 1:9 and especially John 12:3.)

The most dramatic sign came in March, 2001. The Lord led six women to go to Kabul, Afghanistan to make music to Him in a city where music had been forbidden under the Taliban.  There, in that oppressed city, they ministered to Jesus continuously for six days. They had a great sense that they were planting a royal garden for Him (cf. Song of Songs & Esther), where He could come every day to rest and be refreshed. It was a place where His broken heart was being comforted as He looked out on the broken and suffering nation of Afghanistan. At that time Kabul was also experiencing years of drought. For three years, there had only been a few showers in the city.

They finished worshipping at 10 p.m. on the 6th day. At 11:00pm, it started to rain. Throughout the night, it poured. The next three days it rained on & off across the country from Herat in the west to Pakistan in the east. It was not yet the end of the drought, but it was a great sign of God’s favor on the worship as well as pleasure with the many thousands who were praying around the world for that nation during those days.

The Future

We began several years ago with the story of Elisha & the Shunammite woman. We see that Elisha is a wonderful type of Christ - as he served others, raising people from the dead, feeding the (one) hundred, healing people, speaking the word of God, etc. So we are following in the steps of the Shunammite woman - providing a simple place for Jesus as He "comes through", seeking to serve Him & minister to His needs without expecting anything in return. He cannot help himself, He pours out his blessings on us. As with that woman, He asks, "what can be done for you" & brings life to dead & barren areas of our lives. As we draw near to Him, He pours out His love & blessing. We see His face & that is enough.
